TOUR RECORDS 2015
Japan is enjoying a tourist boom. The yen is relatively weak, making Japan less expensive than many people imagine.
Quest Japan is enjoying one of the best years ever. We've more bookings than any previous year, and are introducing several new itineraries, including the Railway Journey through the Main Island.
I've uploaded a couple of sets of photos, one of the RJMI, and the other of a recent Walks in the Heart of Japan. The latter was an adventure arranged for a purely vegan group! Ellen kindly sent the following after her trip.
‘Hi Bob. I wanted to write before the glow fades and tell you again what a wonderful trip we had. I know that a lot of work into all of the arrangements - especially the vegan dinners - and we all really appreciated it. The food was wonderful, with Green Earth in Osaka, the ryokan in Yoshino, the farmhouse/B&B in Asuka, and the final dinner in Kyoto being real standouts. Also the lunch in Yoshino the day we left - I believe the owner is a friend of yours? She was lovely and the food was wonderful. We also especially enjoyed making the candies in Yoshino, and stopping at the coffee house on the way to Nara - you may know them, an older couple who also have a tea ceremony room. They let us eat our picnic there, and served us excellent coffee.
Bookings are good for tours in the second half of 2015. We're also now busy planning new bird-watching and photography tours from 2016.
